Wood sculptures
Previously I have worked only in wood, with some selected pieces being cast in bronze, however, as my woodcarving wrist is beginning to suffer, I will be trying out less resistant materials, such as wax, or plaster. If I can master the techniques adequately I will have the results cast in bronze.

I have enjoyed using European hardwoods, particularly sycamore, cherry and lime, also oak, ash, boxwood, walnut and yew. All woods have different qualities – some are a pleasure to work with and some are a pain – the most difficult often reward you with the prettiest grain and finest finish.
